Dark Sky Engineering LLC was formed in 2024 to provide expert mechanical simulation and finite element analysis to the aerospace and mechanical industries. Dark Sky has industry-leading expertise in integrated opto-mechanical analysis including predictions for STOP, jitter, WFE, and stress using both linear and advanced nonlinear techniques. Over the past 20 years, our staff have provided detailed finite element analysis for over 100+ clients including space & ground based extremely large telescopes, optical instruments, experimental and EVTOL aircraft, and consumer & medical products. Our extensive experience covers STOP, static, dynamic, thermoelastic, thermal distortion, shock, random and sine vibration, pre-test predictions, on-site test support, & post-test correlation.
